Welcome to the Forge for Rise of First Born Elite

Here you will find everything you need to know about your Gear and Forge in Iron Throne. Gear and your Forge are crucial to gameplay, so this information is very important in order to be the ultimate conqueror.

The Forge Game Update

With the newest big update to the game we saw many changes but some of the gear changes were my favorites. Because of this, I wanted to take some time to cover them here so you guys can be aware of these changes.

Forge Display

How your equipment is displayed in the forge has been changed. Now when you look at the gear available to craft it is going to show like this:

The Forge Image 1.png

It will show the level Hero required for the Gear and a recommendation for what kind of Hero to use that Gear on, they have added icons to show this and you can see the table which explains all of these icons below.

Equipping Gear to Your Hero

While the changes above are great and will make seeing the information you need to know about your Gear that much quicker and easier, this next added feature is my absolute favorite. In the past when you went to equip Gear or a pet to your Hero you would have to scroll through your list searching for what you needed, if your Gear inventory is really full like mine that can be quite frustrating.

However, there is now a feature that allows you to sort Equipment by Level or Equipment Type:

The Forge Image 3.png

This feature also applies to Pets and allows you to sort them by Grade:

The Forge Image 4.png

This is one of my favorite features because it will allow you to find the Equipment or pet you want to equip to your Hero much faster and help with sorting when you are trying to figure out what you have and what you need.

The Forge

We will begin with your Forge. You can find the Forge nestled slightly to the left and just above the gate to your wall, to the right of your Marketplace. When you click on your Forge, you are given options for Details, Upgrade, Craft, and Set Codex. We will cover each of these options below.

Details

The Details tab gives you basic information about your Forge’s uses, to craft equipment, and what boosts it provides. Your Forge provides boosts for crafting time. The higher the level of the Forge, the better the boost. This essentially reduces the number of Speed Ups needed for crafting equipment, saving you needed Speed Ups for other functions in the game.

Upgrade

Upgrade your Forge to the next level with this option. Leveling your Forge requires resources. This building goes to level 30. Above you can see how the building levels affect the boost given by the Forge and how much power is added to you with each additional upgrade.

Craft

Here you will find all of your crafting options. This section breaks down into four sections of its own.

The Forge Image 6.png

Set Equipment

From here you can find all equipment sets. You are able to craft sets here depending on the materials you have. Equipment sets include things such as your Guardian Set or Glorious Set (Best Suited for your Architect!). Certain sets are more difficult to get and you may have to purchase them in the Gold store. However, they are worth it. Equipment sets come with base bonuses and bonuses when you reach Immortal. These bonuses boost your gear with even more stats making it very valuable.

Craft Equipment

When you click on this option it expands to show you options for equipment that is categorized based off of what type of equipment it is.

The Forge Image 7.png

Choose what type of equipment you want to craft and it will take you to the next screen. For example, if looking to craft a Helm, you would click “helm”. The next screen you will see shows all helms available, even if you do not have the materials available to craft all of them.

The Forge Image 8.png

Upgrade

The next Forge Component is Upgrade.

The Forge Image 9.png

Here you will be given three options to improve your gear. However, be aware that some of this is dependent on your level of research. For more advanced options, be sure to check out your Crafting Research in the Academy.(Stay tuned for a future article.)

This section is very important because you may not be able to afford or get the best gear initially. However, some gear is better than no gear and if you are able to craft a green set you can over time save up the items necessary to be able to upgrade your gear and increase your stats.

Option 1: Upgrade

Here you are able to upgrade your gear to the next level. The level you are able to upgrade to is depends on your research.

The Forge Image 10.png

You do this by selecting the piece you want to upgrade. If available, tap the upgrade button and you’re to the next screen, displaying the cost.

The Forge Image 11.png

You will also be able to see the stats that you are gaining by upgrading your equipment.

NOTE: Hammers are obtainable throughout gameplay or can be purchased in package shops.

Option 2: Enhance

Enhancements provide additional stats, but is only available for immortal equipment. Immortal is the highest level your gear can go. This is not simple to obtain and this option may not be available to everyone. In order to be able to reach this point spending is often necessary. However, your first focus should be upgrading.

The Forge Image 12.png

Option 3: Sell

If you have multiple pieces of the same gear, you are able to sell them for silver. Nobody needs 20 Grey Hunter helms, do they? Sell them off and pad your resource availability.

The Forge Image 13.png

Materials

Your fourth screen is Materials. Here you are able to combine materials. This is one of the most important capabilities. All of those chests you acquire filled with pieces? Make sure you open them and head to the forge to combine. You need four of a material to combine to the next level. Combining allows you to have higher grade materials so you are able to craft higher level equipment. Different options are available for you here. You are able to combine one material at a time or combine all. “Combine all” will combine everything you have of that material to the highest level.

The Forge Image 14.png

Be wary, combine all is not always your best option. You need a certain amount of materials in order to be able to craft. If you combine all to the highest level you may be left without enough materials. Fortunately, Iron Throne has provided a “Dismantle” feature for those moments in the second tab under materials. Here you are able to take, for example, a level 2 material and dismantle it so that you now have four more level one materials.

The Forge Image 15.png

Crafting Basics

Here we will cover the essential crafting basics. So what do you need to know to start crafting a gear? Every piece of gear you craft requires basic materials to make it. You can find the materials needed by clicking each individual piece in your crafting screen.

The Forge Image 16.png

For this helm, four materials are required. Materials that you have available are filled in and highlighted. You can change the level material you are using by clicking “change”. This also will give you the option to purchase more, or combine.

If you do not have the materials needed, the material will be greyed out with a purchase button below it. After clicking it, you are given several options including opening chests or going to the gold store to purchase the items needed.

Next lesson: Craft Success Rate per Grade. By having higher grade materials, you are able to increase your chances of crafting high grade gear. If you do not have the materials to craft at the highest grade, always remember you are able to use upgrade hammers later to improve your gear. However, your ultimate goal is to have immortal equipment and subsequently, the best stats.

The Forge Image 17.png

Based off of the materials here, there is 70% chance that a blue piece can be crafted and 30% chance that a purple piece can be crafted. In this case, 30% was enough and a purple piece of gear was crafted. However, if it had not been, the player would have received a piece of blue gear. The higher the percentage, the higher the likelihood of crafting that grade piece.

Within Iron Throne, the six colors of gear reference different quality levels:

  • Grey - Basic Gear
  • White - Common Gear
  • Green - Uncommon Gear
  • Blue - Rare Gear
  • Purple - Epic Gear
  • Gold - Immortal Gear

Engraving Gear

Engraving Gear is a new feature that is available to continue to increase the value of our gear sets. You can access the ability to engrave gear through the following methods:

  • Selecting a Hero's worn equipment
  • Selecting the (upgrade) > (Engrave) tab in The Forge

Certain enhancement requirements must be met by the gear being engraved. We can see this in the table below which was provided in the 10/28/2020 update.

Important Notes About Engraving Gear

  1. The required materials for Equipment Engraving are Equipment Engraving Stones and Gold and the minimum increased values will differ based on the equipment.
  2. The gear engraved only receives the buffs when equipped to the Hero that was wearing it when it was engraved.
  3. When switching that gear to a different hero you must remove the engraving using gold and Equipment Engraving Removal Stones and apply new engravings for the buffs to apply.
