House Power and Equipment Engraving
There are two new features that came to Iron Throne with the past update. House Power and Equipment Engraving give extra boosts to your Heroes and Equipment that will be critical to your success in battle. In today’s guide, we will take a deep dive into both of these topics, and see what extra stats and benefits they provide, along with their costs.
House Power
House Power adds additional buffs to your Hero and can be found on your Hero screen. The bottom left option takes you directly to the screen where you add House Gemstones (more on that shortly). The bottom right gives a quick summary of how many pages you have completed for the current Hero and then a button to move to the add screen.
Increasing your House Power only applies to the Hero in which you add the Stones. It does not carry across multiple Heroes. Your Hero must be at least Level 30 and home (not out of your Castle or captured) to add House Gemstones. You cannot pull Gemstones if you change your mind, so add them carefully!
Adding House Power
To add House Power you need House Gemstones. There are currently now six Power of the House options. They are:
- Power of the Knight’s Lord House
- Power of the Navigator’s Lord House
- Power of the Guardian’s Lord House
- Power of the Draconic Lord House
- Power of the Past Glory’s Lord House
- Power of the Chaotic’ Lord House
Each House Power requires that you have House Gemstones to complete the nodes on the page. Once you have obtained these you will move to the Hero that you want to boost. There are 10 nodes per page of the House. Each node requires a certain amount of House Gemstones to activate it. You can add one at a time, or click the final node (the one that uses the most Gemstones) and do them all at once. There are 140 pages each available each Navigator and Knight, and 100 pages each for the other four. Each page will get a little more expensive. Each House Power requires that you open 10 pages (Prime Powers) of the prior to unlock it.
When you add the Gemstones it will tell you how many you are using and what the stat increase will be.
Types of House Power
There are six House Powers, as mentioned before, and each requires their own Gemstones to increase the buffs. House Gemstones are found in Daily Quests, Inferno Events, Packs, Alliance Raid, and Attendance Events.
Power of the Knight
This House Power uses Knight’s Gemstones and increases the following stats for the specific Hero:
- Hero Face-Off Attack Increase: Maximum 232%
- Hero Face-Off Defense Increase: Maximum 232%
- Hero Face-Off HP Increase: Maximum 232%
- Increase Troop Attack on Face-Off Victory: Maximum 94%
- Increase Troop Defense on Face-Off Victory: Maximum 94%
- Increase Troop HP on Face-Off Victory: Maximum 92%
Each page increases each of the first three stats by 1.6%. The last three increase by 2% a page but only ONE of them, as they rotate. You don’t get the full 2% for all three on each page.
This House Power uses Navigator’s Gemstones and you must have 10 pages of the Power of the Knight complete to unlock it. The Power of the Navigator increases the following stats for the specific Hero:
- Infantry Attack/Defense/HP: Maximum 135.5%
- Archer Attack/Defense/HP: Maximum 135.5%
- Cavalry Attack/Defense/HP: Maximum 135.5%
- Siege Attack/Defense/HP: Maximum 135.5%
- Troop March Speed: Maximum 90%
- Deployable Troop Size: Maximum 75,000
The buff increase per page rotate, you don’t get all four types of core troop increases (or Troop March Speed/Deployable Troop Size) each page. The core troop rotates around with each page and the Troop March Speed/Deployable Troop Size swap. I have attached two concurrent pages below so you can see the increased cadence. Each page gives a 3.5% increase to each stat for the current core troop and alternates between +2,500 Deployable Troop Size and Troop March Speed of 3%.

Checking your House Power
You can see a summary of the House Power for your specific Hero on the right side of the Power of the House Screen. As seen below, you can check your boosts for the current House you are working on, as well as a summary of all House Powers for the Hero.
Engraving
Engraving is a second new way to increase your stats. Just like House Power the engraving only applies to the Hero on which th3 Equipment piece lives when you Engrave it. If you move the Equipment piece to another Hero you will need to remove the Engraving and do it again.
Engraving Equipment
You Engrave pieces of Equipment by using Engraving Stones and gold. First click on the Equipment piece you want to Engrave, then hit “Equipment Engraving”.
Each time you choose to Engrave you will get a random amount of the listed stat increase (the minimum is shown). If you are lucky you will get a higher boost which will allow you to fill the bar to the maximum using less Engraving Stones. You can Engrave each piece 1-10 times. How many times it will take to hit the maximum Buff depends on your luck. When you go to Engrave it will tell you the minimum requirement to Engrave a piece of Equipment, along with the stat you will be increasing.
Engraving Boosts
Each piece of Equipment has its own possible stat increase. The chart below shows the minimum enhanced level needed and the maximum boost you can obtain after filling the bar broken out by Equipment Set.
