Lord Skill Points Header.png

In the most recent update, the Lord Skill trees were significantly modified. This brings with it many questions, on how best to utilize your points for different types of presets. Today we will take a look at the skills on each tree, and lay some strategies and best practices out for skilling your Lord.

Your Lord and Skills

Lord skill trees add to the stats given by research, gear, etc. The maximum Lord level in the game is 120. Each Lord level gives additional skill points to add to your skill trees. Make sure you have a Lord XP Boost running at all times, but especially when you add the points. It can be purchased for gold, but the most advantageous way is the buy them through the Alliance Store.

The following chart shows the cost per level for upgrading your Lord.

Skill Presets

Before you start skilling your Lord, designate a preset for each type of activity you will be doing. For example, you will want at the very minimum an Economic Preset and a Battle Preset. However, with so many different combinations to choose from now, there is more room for specification.

Skill Requirements

There are two different trees to utilize; Economy and Battle. Don’t try and skill these both on one preset. Following is a list of each available skill, the requirements to open the next skill, and the benefits;

Skilling Wisely

Do not fill more than the minimum points required on the nodes you don’t wish to use. In fact, the game will bump you off the skill you are filling when you reach the minimum points required to move to the next skill. If you want to fill more in that particular skill, merely go back in and add what you want. The charts above are a handy way to know how many points you will need to allocate. Remember you do not need to fill both the top and bottom of the tree to move to the next module.

Lord Skill Points Image 1.jpg

Make a preset for each different type of ability you wish to enhance. For example;

  • Economics
  • Monster
  • Attack
  • Defense
  • Debuffs

Once you hit VIP 15 you can freely switch between these without using a reset item or gold.

Reaching the end of either tree requires a high Lord Level. For example, I cannot reach the end of the Battle tree with Lord 70. Therefore, you must determine how many points you need to get where you want to go. For example, looking at the Battle chart above, the biggest gains are at the end of the tree. However, you may not be able to reach that point, or if you do you may only have a few points left. Don’t waste your points doing that. Analyze the stat boosts. If filling a node closer in the tree gives a bigger increase, don’t fill further just for the sake of it.

Your Lord Skills can make it or break it for you. Make sure you have the right preset equipped for what you are working on!
