Explore the Forgotten Temple
Did you forget about your forgotten temple? Oops…. This building is central to your Titans that we began exploring last month. Today we are going to take the time to explore the Forgotten Temple and the functionality it provides for you and your Titans.
Where Titans Lay Their Heads at Night
Your Titans need a home and that exists within the form of the Forgotten Temple. When your Titans are not out destroying your enemies they are napping away peacefully and formulating plans to conquer the world in the Forgotten Temple.
Unlock the Forgotten Temple
To unlock the Forgotten Temple do not forget that you need to be at Citadel level 41. The forgotten temple currently maxes out at level 45. Leveling up the Forgotten Temple requires regular resources, marble, divine stone, and Maester’s Compasses. You will also need speed-ups.
The Details
Leveling up your Forgotten Temple is going to decrease the amount of time it takes your Titan to Repair. It is also going to unlock the ability for you to complete research in the three research trees.
Access The Forgotten Temple
There are two ways you can access your Forgotten Temple. The first way is by scrolling all the way to the left of your game screen. Next to the huge Excalibur-looking sword, you will see a dude that looks a bit like a sentry. This is your Forgotten Temple. See the image below.
You can also access your Forgotten Temple by using the Research using the queue button directly below your additional construction queue. Tapping this button will take you directly to the Forgotten Temple.
Forgotten Temple Functions
When you tap on your Forgotten Temple you are going to see several different actions you can perform.
- Details
- Upgrade
- Speed Up
- Research
- Talus’s Titan
Details
From this section, you can see the details about the Forgotten Temple and what Titan Repair Speed different levels give you. You can also see the power gain you will receive from leveling up your Forgotten Temple.
This functionality is purely about giving you those extra details you may want.
Upgrade
This is where you are going to level up your Forgotten Temple. It is important to note that you will only be able to access this button when you do not have research in progress.
Speed Up
This option only appears to you when you have research or a build going. When you have research going, the Speed Up button replaces the upgrade button. When you have a build going both the upgrade and research buttons will no longer show, and you will see the speed up option.
Research
This is where you are going to access research for your Titans. We currently have three research trees available here.
- Enhance Titan
- Titan Battle
- Talus’s Titan
We will discuss these research trees more in-depth in just a little.
Talus’s Titan
From this tab, you will be able to access your Titans and all their functionalities. If you want to learn more about the basics of your Titans be sure to check out last month’s article, Remember the Titans.
Forgotten Temple Research
In your Forgotten Temple, you can complete research that will strengthen your titans. This research Is going to require your regular resources and speed-ups. It will also require you to use sulfur.
Here is the good news your Titan Research is going to benefit from the same research reductions as your normal research does. So make sure you have your scholar appointed with the correct gear, runes, pets, and Lord skills. You can also use your boosts to help with the times on these researches.
Enhance Titan
This research is all about enhancing your Titan’s stats. Enhance Titan research opens early on when you unlock your Forgotten Temple, however, you are limited in how much you can complete by your Forgotten Temple level. Therefore, you will want to be sure you are continuing to level this building up.
This research has stats that increase the chances of your Titan to deal critical hits and increases the amount of damage done when that critical hit is achieved. In addition, there are “Titan debuffs” within this research to help you decrease your enemy’s damage or chances.
Check out the stats found in this research tree in the table below.
Titan Battle
This research tree does not open until you have achieved level 14 with your Forgotten Temple. There is a big caution I want to address with this research. Initially, when this research was released the descriptions read, “upon deployment.”
They have since been changed to read “upon Titan usage.” This is because the original wording had players believing that it would function similarly to Dragon research. In that, it would only work for Titans that are attacking.
However, this research is going to apply to your Titan in every situation. Whether it is a Titan that is installed in the world, attacking, or appointed as your Gatekeeper. However, keep a watchful eye on the wording. Some of this research continues to have qualifiers such as “when attacking” or “when defending.”
This research focuses on troop stats. It allows your Titan to strengthen your troops. There are a lot of debuffs in this research but there are also troop stats and type stats. Check out the research you will find in this tree below.
Talus’s Titan
This is the smallest research you will see. There are only two nodes in this research but both are important.
- Number of Installable Titans- You must complete this research in order to be able to install your Savior Titan in the world
- Titan Repair Speed- this decreases the amount of time it will take your Titan to repair after being injured in battle. Save yourself some speed-ups!
