Pet Summoning has come to Rise of Firstborn, and brings with it a new way to enhance your stats and individualize your account.

What Are Pets?

Pets are new friends that assist your account in many different ways. There is a multitude of different pets to collect, and each has different stats and boosts. Enter the pet zone by tapping on Jorya on the Castle walls.

This takes you to the summoning area, where you can summon new pets, and there is a link to the Pet Codex on the bottom left. There are different levels of Pets, and the probability of obtaining each decrease as the level gets higher.

Pets are embedded in a special gear slot in the Hero menu (more on that later).

How Do I Get Pets?

Pets come from Pet Summoning Scroll and can be obtained in a few ways. First, there is one Pet Summoning Scroll daily in your Free Pack. Make sure and pick that up! Second, they can be found in the Daily Check-In and Events. Lastly, they are available for purchase in packs. Lower-grade Pets have a higher probability of being obtained than higher grades. However, you can purchase guaranteed Level 5-6 Pets from the pack store.

Once you have Pet Scrolls, go to the Summoning Screen and summon your pet! Note that only the common Pet Summoning scrolls can be used from the Summoning Screen currently. The Grade 5 and Grade 6 scrolls have to be used from your Items + menu.

What Pets are Available?

There are currently 36 pets available to collect. They range from Common Grade to Immortal Grade. However, you cannot upgrade them, only enhance them. For example, the Dire Wolf is a Common grade, but can be enhanced to Level 15 (but not upgraded to uncommon). You can see what Pets you own, as well as which ones you are missing by entering the Pet Codex.

How Do I Enhance Them?

Each Pet can be enhanced to Level 20. To enhance a Pet, you can either go through the Pet Codex or the Enhance menu within the Forge. If you go through the Forge the last tab on the Enhance menu is for the Pets.

Enhancing the Pets requires that you have multiple of the same Pets, just like crafting. However, the amount needed is based on the grade. For example, a Common Black Unicorn requires 5 additional Unicorns to enhance to level 1. An Immortal Lava Turtle only needs one more to enhance to Level 1.

Engraving

Pets can now be Engraved just like Heroes. Pet must be Level 20 in order to be eligible for Engraving. The maximum benefit for each Pet’s Engraving is:

  • Satyr: 200% Troop Attack
  • Lava Turtle: 80% Troop HP
  • Forsaken Frost: 200% Equipment Crafting Speed
  • Faun: 200% Troop Training Speed
  • Death Knight: 200% Rally Troop HP Buff
  • Ifrit: 5% Leveraged Infantry Damage Increase
  • Living Armor: 5% Leveraged Archer Damage Increase
  • Cockatrice: 5% Leveraged Cavalry Damage Increase
  • Kansus: 400% Enemy Rally Troop Attack Buff Decrease
  • Thunder Phoenix: 250% Siege Attack
  • Mandragora: 20% Hero Face-Off Attack Increase
  • Deathworm: 500% Enemy Rally Troop Attacking Decrease (when defending)
  • Giant Snail: 100% Troop Capacity
  • Mr. Lapin: 20,000 Deployable Troop Size

How Do I Use Them?

Once you have your Pets, of course, the next questions are “How do I use them?”. Pets are embedded in the Hero screen just like a piece of gear. Match the Pet to the appropriate Hero. For example, you would want to embed a Lava Golem to your Construction or Research Hero. Keep in mind you can only embed your Pet on one Hero. So, if you need to swap them around to get the most benefit you can do so. You can equip two Pets to a Hero, but the second Pet requires that the Hero be Level 70.

The Pet shows up in the background of the Hero screen once it’s been equipped, and it also shows on the World view if it is included in your march!
